Conference on Forest Management, Local Development and Protection of Surface and Groundwater

The SEMEAU conference: How to combine Forest Management, Local Development and Protection of Surface and Groundwater? will be organised on 17-19 October 2012 in Vulcania, Clermont-Ferrand, France. The SEMEAU conference is an international meeting devoted to the following themes, and at presenting the main outputs of the LIFE+ SEMEAU project:

- hydrological and hydrogeological relationships between forest and surface and groundwater
- technical tools (numerical models, DST)
- best practices
- local to European (WFD), and other countries, scale strategies, policies, amenities and ecological services

The conference is aiming at gathering together:
- professionals and stakeholders involved in water, forest and environment management and protection
- scientists, engineers, consultants, elected representatives, local, state, national, European and
international authorities
- from France, Europe and other countries.
