The Spanish Presidency of the Council organises the Valsain Conference on Forest Protection. The aim of the Conference is to analyse the situation of European forests in terms of protection, taking as base for discussion the Green Paper on Forest Protection and Information in the EU, which makes account of the existing particularities and weaknesses at the bioregional level (forest fires, storms, avalanches and floods).
